WINS Netherlands Is Now Officially Nonprofit
Gill Rijnenberg worked hard to establish nonprofit status for the WINS Project Netherlands. Its official title is Stichting WINS (WINS Foundation). Many people have helped along the way.
Mr. Amson, Cherie & Gill We would like to thank the notary, Mr. Amson. When Gill and his sister Cherie were in Mr. Amson's office to sign the papers, Mr. Amson was curious as to why somebody would want to set up yet another nonprofit organization. When Gill told him all about Gusti Ayu, Ketut Sadia and Donald Pinegar, Mr. Amson was so impressed he offered not to charge for the notary service that costs about 700 Euros.
We would also like to thank Mr. Arjan Eriks from Drozer Webdesign, who's hosting the Dutch WINS site at no cost, and our new sponsor Ruud Wagenaar, who will pay for the internet connection and annual costs for the Yayasan
For the US branch of WINS, thanks to Earnie Giles, its nonprofit should be implemented soon. Furthermore, Australian branch of WINS is in the works.
Hats Off To Francis Blair & Earnie Giles
Earnie & Francis Frances and Earnie have been two of our largest contributors. Earnie, bless his heart, is working hard to setup our nonprofit status, and Frances and Earnie have both volunteered to be on the board of the nonprofit. Donald Pinegar met them recently for lunch and found them to be a genuine and caring couple. We would like to thank them for their generosity and their devotion to the children of Bali.
Frances Blair and Earnie Giles reside in San Diego, California along with their dog, Casper. Frances and Earnie will be visiting in Bali in February of 2007. It will be her fourth trip and Earnie's second.
Frances recently retired after having her own business in the home furnishings industry. Prior to that, she held marketing positions as well as having taught elementary school. Retirement finds her traveling and volunteering for San Diego Hospice and Palliative Care.
Earnie is a retired United States Marine Corps officer and commercial pilot. He is an officer with a volunteer group at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, CA.
The love and lure of Bali is contagious as Earnie was introduced by Frances to the beautiful people, its culture and country. It is their privilege to be able to help with the orphans of Bali, a commitment they share and plan to continue.
